Learn Piano and Keyboard

Nicki's mission is to cultivate a passion for learning the piano, foster resilience in her students, equip them with excellent skills, and instil a deep love for making music. She is committed to providing high quality music education based on contemporary pedagogical principles. Each student's journey is personalized to align with their unique goals, preferences, and interests.

Students are expected to:

• Attend lessons punctually, bringing the required materials.
• Dedicate time to practice and strive to achieve the goals set in the weekly lesson notes set out in My Music Staff.
• Ensure access to a suitable instrument, properly maintained and tuned (if acoustic).

Students can expect to purchase print music and digital sheet music at times.

Tuition fees are spread evenly over the year, payable by 11 monthly payments between February to December inclusive and invoiced in the last week of the previous month. The monthly amount remains consistent throughout the year, regardless of the number of lessons in a particular month. Invoices are due within seven days and a reminder is issued if payment is not received within 14 days of the invoice issue date.  Where no payment is received within 21 days of the invoice issue date no further lessons will be provided.

• Setting up automatic debit payments through my Music Studio software is encouraged. 
• All tuition payments are non-refundable, and one month's notice is required for cancellation.
• Discount available for retirees over 65 and HEA members.

Tuition fees encompass various aspects of music education and studio operations and are based on enrolment not attendance.

Students receive:

• A guaranteed minimum of 36 weekly lessons per year.
• At least two performance opportunities annually, whether in-person or online.
• Access to licensed digital resources such as SuperSonicsPro and Top Music Sheets.
• Engaging music educational games.
• Option of shared lessons, that includes music lab and ensemble playing.
• Shared online learning community meetups for adult students. 

• Lessons are conducted mainly during the Queensland school term according to the school calendar. Lesson slots are available from Tuesday to Thursday, between 2pm and 8pm on Tuesdays and 7.30 am and 8 pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
• There are various holiday weeks during the year where there are no lessons, often during school holidays. These weeks have already been deducted from the overall yearly cost of lessons and therefore will require no further discount.
• No lessons are scheduled during Queensland school holidays or public holidays unless agreed upon individually. Lessons scheduled outside of the term dates below incur a fee per lesson.
• Monthly tuition fees include a minimum of 36 lessons per calendar year for weekly students and 18 lessons per calendar year for fortnightly students.
